Abantu babecindezelwa. Njengokhokho bawo, akungabazeki ukuthi amaJuda ekhulu lokuqala ayethandaza kuNkulunkulu ngokuphindaphindiwe ecela ukukhululwa ejokeni lamaRoma elicindezelayo. Abe esezwa ngoJesu. Ingabe wayenguMesiya othenjisiwe? Abantu abaningi ‘babenethemba lokuthi nguye owayemiselwe ukukhulula u-Israyeli’ ekucindezelweni amaRoma. (Luka 24:21) Nokho akukho ukukhululwa okwafika. Kunalokho, ngo-70 C.E., ibutho laseRoma lafika futhi lacekela phansi iJerusalema nethempeli lalo.

Kwenzekani? Kungani uNkulunkulu engawalwelanga amaJuda njengoba ayevame ukwenza esikhathini esidlule? Kungani engawagunyazanga ukuba aye empini ukuze azikhulule ekucindezelweni? Ingabe umbono kaNkulunkulu ngempi wawusushintshile? Cha. Kodwa kunokuthile ngamaJuda okwashintsha. Enqaba iNdodana kaNkulunkulu, uJesu, njengoMesiya. (IzEnzo 2:36) Ngakho, njengesizwe alahlekelwa ubuhlobo obukhethekile noNkulunkulu.​—Mathewu 23:​37, 38.

Isizwe samaJuda​—neZwe laso Lesithembiso​—asibange sisasijabulela isivikelo saphezulu futhi asiphindanga saba nelungelo lokuya empini siqiniseka ngokuthi uNkulunkulu uzosisekela. Njengoba uJesu abikezela, izibusiso ezihambisana nokuthola umusa kaNkulunkulu zaphucwa u-Israyeli ongokwenyama zanikwa isizwe esisha, isizwe esingokomoya, iBhayibheli elibhekisela kuso ngokuthi “u-Israyeli kaNkulunkulu.” (Galathiya 6:16; Mathewu 21:43) Ibandla lamaKristu agcotshwe ngomoya lazibonakalisa lingu-Israyeli kaNkulunkulu ongokomoya. Latshelwa lokhu ekhulwini lokuqala: “Manje seniyisizwe sikaNkulunkulu.”​—1 Petru 2:​9, 10.

Njengoba amaKristu ekhulu lokuqala “ayeseyisizwe sikaNkulunkulu,” ingabe uNkulunkulu wawalwela ukuze awakhulule ekucindezelweni amaRoma? Noma ingabe wawagunyaza ukuba alwe nabacindezeli bawo? Cha, akakwenzanga lokho. Kungani? Uma kuziwa ezimpini zikaNkulunkulu, uNkulunkulu kuphela onqumayo ukuthi leyo mpi izoliwa nini njengoba isihloko esandulele sibonisile. UNkulunkulu akazange awalwele amaKristu ekhulu lokuqala noma awagunyaze ukuba alwe ezimpini zangaleso sikhathi. Kusobala ukuthi ikhulu lokuqala lalingesona isikhathi sikaNkulunkulu sokulwa nabantu ababi nabacindezeli.

Ngakho-ke njengabakhulekeli bakaNkulunkulu basendulo, lawo maKristu ekhulu lokuqala kwakudingeka alinde kuze kube isikhathi sikaNkulunkulu sokuqeda ububi nokucindezelwa kwabantu. Ngesikhathi esifanayo, uNkulunkulu akawagunyazanga ukuba aziphindiselele ezitheni zawo. UJesu Kristu wakwenza kwacaca lokhu ezimfundisweni zakhe. Ngokwesibonelo, akazange ayale abalandeli bakhe ukuba baye empini, kunalokho wabatshela: “Qhubekani nithanda izitha zenu, nithandazela nalabo abanishushisayo.” (Mathewu 5:44) Ebikezela isikhathi ibutho lamaRoma elalizohlasela ngaso iJerusalema langekhulu lokuqala, uJesu wayala abafundi bakhe ukuba bangahlali balwe kodwa babaleke.​—Luka 21:​20, 21.

Naphezu kwalokho, ephefumulelwe umphostoli uPawulu wabhala: “Ningaziphindiseleli . . . ngoba kulotshiwe ukuthi: ‘Impindiselo ingeyami; ngizobuyisela mina,’ kusho uJehova.” (Roma 12:19) UPawulu wayecaphuna lokho uNkulunkulu ayekushilo emakhulwini eminyaka adlule njengoba kulotshwe kuLevitikusi 19:18 nakuDuteronomi 32:35. Njengoba sibonile esihlokweni esandulele, enye indlela uNkulunkulu ayelwela ngayo abantu bakhe ezikhathini zasendulo kwakuwukubasiza ukuba balwe nezitha zabo. Ngakho amazwi kaPawulu abonisa ukuthi umbono kaNkulunkulu ngempi awukaze ushintshe. Nasekhulwini lokuqala, uNkulunkulu ubelokhu ebheka impi njengendlela yokuphindiselela abantu bakhe nokuqeda zonke izinhlobo zokucindezela nobubi. Nokho, njengoba kwakunjalo ngaphambili, uNkulunkulu kuphela onqumayo ukuthi leyo mpi izoba khona nini futhi ubani ozolwa kuyo.

Ngokusobala, uNkulunkulu akazange agunyaze amaKristu ekhulu lokuqala ukuba alwe izimpi. Kuthiwani namuhla? Ingabe uNkulunkulu ugunyaze iqembu elithile ukuba lilwe? Noma ingabe sekuyisikhathi sokuba uNkulunkulu alwele izinceku zakhe? UNkulunkulu uyibheka kanjani impi namuhla? Isihloko sokuphetha salolu chungechunge sizoyiphendula le mibuzo.
